Primary Playcare

For All Your Out-of-School Care Needs!

About Us

A quick overview - visit the full About Us page for more details.

Established in 1997, we have been providing high-quality out-of-school care for children and families for almost three decades. We currently operate four services: three in East Renfrewshire offering both Breakfast and After School care, and one in Glasgow offering After School care only.

All of our services are registered with the Care Inspectorate, and every member of staff is PVG vetted and registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), ensuring the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Our head office is led by the Company Director and Operations Manager, while each service has a dedicated Registered Manager in place to oversee daily operations and maintain excellence in the delivery of care.

Our Staff

Each service is led by a dedicated manager, registered at management level with both the Care Inspectorate and the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). All managers hold or work towards a Level 9 qualification in Childhood Practice.

To meet registration requirements, all practitioners either hold or are working towards at least a Level 7 qualification in Social Services (Children and Young People).

In line with our Safer Recruitment Policy, all staff are thoroughly vetted through Disclosure Scotland and must hold a PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) membership and have two satisfactory references prior to employment.

In addition, staff complete mandatory training in key areas including Safeguarding, Food Hygiene, and First Aid, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety across our services.
